 Purpose - Our purposes, as stated in the Articles of Incorporation under the New Mexico Nonprofit Corporation Act: Generally, to coordinate and organize the vegetarian movement in New Mexico and to cooperate with other organizations and individuals both locally and nationally of substantially similar interests, to that end. To educate various interested organizations and individuals, as well as the general public, to the values of vegetarianism. To foster a general attitude of reverence for life, and kindness to animals by not eating them or otherwise abusing or exploiting them. To establish a local information center for educational and public service in the cause of vegetarianism. To investigate, research, and disseminate factual information regarding scientific, economic, ethical, and other aspects of vegetarianism. To utilize all lawful means, publications, tracts, media, meetings, lectures, discussions and seminars to promulgate the views and aims of vegetarianism. top of page
